PPP Blog Hop My Wonderful Family

Hello my crafty friends!  Welcome to our Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop where we explore all sort of alternate design possibilities with our monthly craft kit.

April's kit is "My Wonderful Family" which included 2 designs for full size cards.

I used the stamps to make my card design on Whisper White card stock.  This sentiment seems like a lovely greeting for an anniversary card.  So I put two of the die cut birds in the tree to represent a husband and wife.

I'm super fond of cherry blossoms so I used my Stampin' Blends Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo to color my pearls as blossoms.

Here you can see the tiny pearls are darkest, medium-sized  pearls are the medium pink, and the large pearls are very pale pink - just like cherry blossoms.

The leaf branch dies also provided several nice negatives from the sheet.  So I used a sponge dauber to color in the shape of the negative to make this background.  (I confess I learned this clever trick from my friend Deb!).  This turned out to be a fantastic masculine design for Father's Day.  What do you think?
